The most common place to low serve is towards the T as it is the shortest distance to serve to.
However remember to vary you serve sometimes to prevent you opponents getting into a rhythm and to keep them guessing where the shuttle is going.
Consider serving to the area where it is more awkward for the opponent to play their favoured replies.
Serving towards the opponent’s front foot can make them change grip late on the return. If we use the example of serving to a right hander from the right service box: as the contact point moves from the T to the side of the court there will be a point where it is easier to use a forehand return than the backhand. Aim for this point! This will vary according to the initial position taken up by the receiver.
The wide serve is also a good variation. To do this change the angle of the racket face at the last possible moment to deceive them.
