When the woman is flick served in mixed doubles, she should look to play a shot that will enable her to get back into her traditional position in the forecourt area.
A straight drop or smash will give her the opportunity to follow her shot in and allow the man to move back to cover the rear court.
If the flick serve puts the woman under a lot of pressure and she is forced to lift, she should try and clear cross court rather than straight so that it will be easier to cover a cross court attacking shot from the opponents.
