1. Alternate feet skipping – this is the most common form of skipping where you transfer alternately from 1 foot to the other. As you develop your skills you should aim for over 100 skips per minute.

2. Two footed skipping – this is basically small double footed jumps and is great for developing your calf muscles.

3. Single footed hops – this is good for balance and calf endurance. Aim for 30 skips on one foot then 30 skips on the other and 5 reps each leg. Build this practice up to around 60 hops before changing legs.
