Badminton is an energetic and explosive game so before match play or training, you should always take time to warm up and prepare the body for the impending action.

The aim of the warm up is to increase your heart rate, raise your muscle temperature and mobilize your joints in a safe, gradual manner, so as not to put any unexpected stress on your body.

This will reduce the risk of injury and hopefully give you a good start in your match. Ideally, the warm up should last at least 5-10 minutes until you start to lightly perspire. So plan in time beforehand!
