This routine is a 3 against 1 exercise, with 2 attackers in the rearcourt, 1 attacker in the forecourt and 1 worker defending half a court.
The defender starts off with a lift to set up a smash. From the smash, the defender continues to lift until they find an opportunity to counter attack with a drive shot.
From the drive the defender will look to kill on the net.
The forecourt attacker should try to intercepts some of the drives to make the routine realistic to a game situation.
If the defender manages to get their drive shot past the forecourt player, then they know they will have played a good quality drive, which they can then follow.
