It is best to use simple hand feeds to start allowing the player to master the technique of the push and the chop net.
In this 2 against 1 routine the player has try and keep the shuttle tight to the net under movement pressure. The 2 simply push the shuttle back to the net and can use the whole width of the forecourt to move the player.
In this routine doubles players practise the net return of serve. This return can be very effective in forcing a lift from the opposition. Aim for the shuttle to land in front of the short service line. Feeding a kill for the 4th shot can develop this exercise further.
