The forecourt player in doubles should always be looking for ways to maintain the attack and should stand prepared with their racket up.

For doubles net play, they should try to approach the net with the racket head above the wrist. This is different to singles net shots, where the racket head comes under the shuttle. To play good net in doubles, the shuttle needs to travel flat and tight over the net tape, dropping on crossing the net so the opponent cannot attack the shuttle.

Early preparation at the net gives you more shot options.
