Good communication is essential in doubles play. You should use the time between rallies to confirm tactics and encourage your partner where necessary.

You should always tell your partner where you are serving to so that they have an idea of what to expect as a reply.

During rallies there may be times when you need to call to you partner to cover certain shots. This is particularly important for covering shots down the centre of the court.

You should also communicate to your partner to leave a shuttle when you think it is going land out.
