Badminton Coaches
badminton.tv are looking to build the largest online video library for badminton coaching. Be part of it by submitting short coaching clips and get paid for each one.
What do I need to submit?
You will need to send us a video clip in either a wmv, swf, mov or avi. Clips to be no more than 10mb in size. Any editing software can be used – this may be a professional editing suite such as Adobe premier (link) or free software such as Windows Movie Maker which is included with XP.
A few more details:
- One message or tip per clip
- No more than 1 minute each
- Spoken instruction essential with voiceover added during editing or spoken to the camera whilst filming
- Clips to show technical analysis with an example of execution – how to do something and then showing it being done
- All tips should be shown visually
Please feel free to send a sample clip so we can help and advise on how it meets the guidelines.
Clip Guidelines (Must Have's)
Each clip must also meet the following guidelines:
- Neutral clothing to be used by all players/coaches
- Neutral background – no intrusive advertising for example
- High video quality
- English speaking
- 100% audible with all words clear to the viewer
- All players shown must be competent in executing any play shown
- All clips will be licensed to badminton.tv in perpetuity, however, the copyright will remain with the coach and they are permitted to us themselves in any capacity
- badminton.tv have the right (if necessary) to limit submissions to a maximum of 25 per month by any individual coach or group of coaches acting as a team
- Please note: there is no guarantee that your clip will be accepted once submitted. All clips must meet the submission guidelines
Competition
badminton.tv are looking for the top online badminton coaches. As an added incentive we are offering a £500 prize for the best coach.
What is the completion judged upon?
There are three key criteria:
- Quality of coaching advice,
- Quality of filming and editing, and
- Creating the best coaching programme/schedule (how would the coach construct a programme of clips over the next 6 months)
The entries will be judged in September 2007 with the winner contacted by email.
