Badminton on YouTube

Hello all…welcome to my regular spot on badminton.tv. Always wanted to get into this blog malarkey; Mrs Baddas always says I have too much too say and it would be nice for me to 'bother someone else for a change'.

First off I thought I would take a look at YouTube and some of the badminton videos on there. Quite impressed with some of the submissions although there is a great deal of 'me and my mate playing in the garden'. What's all that about?

To start with here is a rally form the All England 07 - taken by one of the audience it gives a more raw representation of the speed of the game rather than the more sanitised TV camera angles.

Next up are the Toblerone boys with some cool trick shots - the guy in the orange shirt is a bit nifty.

Lastly, a masterclass by Taufik Hidayat on hitting a backhand smash.

Now that’s what I’m talking about…
