I couldn't do up the buttons of my jeans...

Thursday 30th November

Went to London again to do the 2nd part of the Sainsbury's talk.  I got there with 20 minutes to spare and so I went into a coffee shop and there was Jonathan Cope, one of the other people that did the talks last week and was doing the same again this week!  I chatted with him before we walked to the Sainsbury's building and he is such a lovely guy and fascinating to talk to!

His career in ballet was so successful and I love talking to people like him!  He has made me want to go to the ballet and dance myself even though I know nothing about it all!  He is currently working with the production of Sleeping Beauty which will be shown over Christmas and I can't wait to see it!

This week the talk was for businessmen and women who work for branded companies like Unilever and Kelloggs.  It was a lot different this time for reasons I'm not quite sure about, but it still went really well and I did enjoy it again.  Hopefully I will be asked to more for Sainsbury's.

Friday 1st December

Went to Cambridge today to see my Uncle Ray, his wife Jenny and Jenny's daughter Nina.  I see Nina as a cousin now and definitely part of the family!  I have known her for a long while but it has only really been over the last few years that we've made more of an effort to see each other.  Ray and Jenny went off pretty soon after I arrived as they were off on a long weekend so Nina and I went to her salon (she's a qualified beauty therapist) and she did my nails and my eyelashes!

Now, most people would think this wasn't much of an event - but for me, and people that know me and my nails (well lack of them) would know that it is! It was amazing!  Suddenly I had nails!  But then, I couldn't do anything with them as I wasn't used to them!

I couldn't do up the buttons of my jeans- it was so weird to get used to!!  Nina was just laughing at me the whole time thinking I was a complete freak.  But they look so good!  Next it was my eyelashes.  Now I wear mascara pretty much everyday as I have blond eyelashes and I look a bit like Boris Becker without putting on mascara so Nina put some long, black, false eyelashes on my ones so when I wake up, they will be perfect as they are!

And they are great! I am loving them and can't stop looking at them in the mirror!

After Cambridge, I went to Reading to see Ed.  A few people on his shift were leaving and so they were having a get together.  I turned up thinking they were going to all be hammered, but it was pretty tame stuff!  After the meal, most people headed home and so Ed and I went for a drink and then went home at midnight.  Not very rock and roll!
