Dirty Dancing again!!

Saturday 14th October

Met up with my Mum and Stepdad with my sister in Reading and we went for a drink in a really nice pub and then Lisa and I got ready to hit the town!

We were supposed to go into London, but Lisa was a bit skint so it was Reading instead!  Slight difference I know!  A bit of wine before we went out and then it was into town.  Had a really good evening and then we decided to hit Reflex!  Those who know Reflex will undoubtedly know that it is pure 80's and 90's cheese!!  Fantastic!  Only trouble was, there was a queue to get in and I was beginning to sober up!

But we got to the front in about 20 mins and then, the bouncer (who I know love!) asked me if I had any ID!!  Hee hee!  But I didn't have any, so my little sister who is 26 and had her passport on her, had to get me in!!  How embarrassing!  I'm 30 next year!  But I am also very flattered!  In the pub we had shots of tequila to wake ourselves up and then we danced away to Wham, Duran Duran and Queen as well as others!  Brilliant!

Sunday 15th October

Hangover city.  My head is banging!!  I think it was the shots.  And the wine.  And the vodka.  I feel sick.  Time for berocca and paracetemol.  Ed came back from a boys night out in London and he looked rough!!  His hangover looked like it was worse than mine!!  So I wasn't going to get any sympathy from him!!

It was a day for fry up, watching DVDs and reading the Sunday newspapers.  Made Ed watch Dirty Dancing on TV!  He was not happy but I think I managed to do that hurt face that most girls can do really well to get their way with a guy and it seemed to do the trick!  I have seen Dirty Dancing over 100 times and it is my ultimate film ever!  I love it so much that I can even recite the words along with the film and I think my specialist subject on Mastermind would be Dirty Dancing.  Its so great!!  If I had to die the next day and I had 1 wish, it would be to do that last dance with Patrick Swayze.  Then I would die very happy!!

Monday 16th October

Training week has started.  Great.  But have made a pact with myself to train really hard this week.  I want to win the Danish Open.

Wednesday 18th October

Ed was working through the night so I invited Donna and Hannah 4 tea.  I cooked a posh tuna nicoise salad with a spicy salsa sauce and we had cheesecake and strawberries for dessert.  Very nice!  We are going to try and set up a little dinner party network so that everyone takes it in turns to cook for everyone.  Only one problem - Natalie Munt.  She is the fussiest person with food!!  It would get to the point where I would have to cook 2 meals cos she wouldn't eat anything that I would serve!

Thursday 19th October

Donna and I went to see Ella and Callum today!  He has grown so much!  He was a little flirt with me and Donna - definitely turned on the charm when we were holding him!  And we knew that when we left he was going to be a little devil for Ella!

Friday 20th October

I have trained so hard this week!  And I have lost 2Kgs!  As a treat, I'm gonna go out in London and have a bit of fun!  Was supposed to meet up with my friend Paul and Lucy last Saturday so arranged to meet up with them this evening.  Went to Victoria to meet Lucy and had a couple of beers there with her workmates.  Lucy and I went to university together and we were on the same course (sports science).  She now works for Fast Track now organising sports events so she's doing really well!

Then we went to the Soho Hotel off Dean Street.  I had been there before with Paul and kinda knew what to expect - posh bar full of young trendys and a few famous faces.  It didn't disappoint.  Gary Linekar and Rachel Hunter were there to start with and then Big Brother's Nasty Nick and Spencer!!  Obviously went down to Z-list after Gary and Rachel left!!  My friend Paul was one of the producers for Big Brother 5 and 6 but then he left and has been working on the new show on Channel 4 "Unanimous" which starts soon.  He was telling me and Lucy all about it and it sounds like a good show - could get quite dark and evil!  It's on soon - look out for it!

Bought a bottle of pink champagne and it cost me £75.  What was going through my head?!!  Oh yes, bottle of champagne for £75 - perfect.  Obviously the whole London thing took over me and I left my student roots well outside the front door!!  Was very nice though..... But I can't get used to that!! We then went for some food in an Italian restaurant on Old Compton Street and drank wine and chatted and gossiped.  It was brilliant.  But I was very drunk and I needed to get back home.

Getting the train at 00.34 is pretty scary as everyone drunk- but it turned into a right laugh!  Everyone was chatting and getting along!  Party train!  And it definitely helped, as no-one wanted to fall asleep and miss their stop!

Saturday 21st October

Ow.  Ow.  Ow.  Hangover again!!  I hate them.  So why do I keep drinking?!!  I'm sure everyone asks that question when they wake up from a heavy night out!  After my specialty hangover cure of berocca and fried egg sandwich and copious amounts of sweet tea, I managed to get to Reading to see Ed and then collapsed on the sofa and watched Miss Marple!!  I'm so sad, I know.

Ed's mum Margaret and his sister Steph came to visit and I did actually feel a bit sorry for Ed!  3 women against 1 guy - its not good odds!  Poor Ed first had to cook dinner (which went a bit a wrong cos half the rice ended up down the sink by accident!) and then he got stitched up when it was down to the choosing of the DVD!  He got out voted and it was Dirty Dancing again!!  Ha ha ha ha ha!!  He sulked all the way through!  It was about 11.30pm by the time we had finished dinner and watched the DVD and Ed had to set the alarm for 4.30am!  Not good for him at all!

Sunday 22nd October

It was time to run off my weekend!  My legs felt very heavy all the way round but I knew that I would feel brilliant at the end!  I did, so to treat myself, I went to Topshop!  And bought a top!  Then I hit the pub to watch the Reading v Arsenal match with Hannah and Rob.  I love Sundays.

Monday 23rd October

I am not a well bunny.  Have been up all night being ill.  Must have been the chicken I cooked last night and I have to go to Denmark today for a club match tomorrow.  Think I am going to cry.  Tried to hit for a bit but I was shockingly bad and sometimes it's just better to stop!
